Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a medication?

• Open the app and tap the Medications tab at the bottom. Tap the + button in the top right corner. Enter the medication name, dosage, and schedule. Tap Add Medication to save.

How do I invite someone to my care team?

• Go to your Profile tab and scroll to Care Team. Tap + Invite Care Team Member. Enter their name and email address, choose their role, and select their access level (View Only or Can Edit). Tap Preview Invite, then Send Email Invite. Can my doctor see my medications?

• Only if you invite them. You are always in control of who can see your medication list. You can invite your doctor from the Care Team section in your Profile and they will receive a secure email invitation. You can remove their access at any time.

Is my health data safe?

• Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. Your medication information is only accessible by you and the care team members you explicitly invite. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I turn off notifications?

• Go to your device Settings → Notifications → Pocket Med List and toggle notifications off. You can also manage individual medication reminders within the app by editing each medication's schedule.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

• On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email address. We will send you a link to reset your password. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you do not have a password — use the same Google or Apple sign-in button you used when you first created your account.

How do I delete my account?

• You can request account deletion at any time. Visit our Data Deletion page or email us at

support@chalicehealthfoundation.org with the subject line 'Delete My Account'. All your personal data and medication records will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Is Pocket Med List free?

• Yes. Pocket Med List is free to download, and the core features — medication tracking, dose reminders, refill alerts, and care team sharing — are free forever. An optional premium subscription ($2.99/month) is available for advanced features like detailed adherence history and PDF export.

Which devices does Pocket Med List work on?

• Pocket Med List works on iPhone (iOS 15 and later) and Android phones (Android 8.0 and later). An iPad version is available. The app requires an internet connection to sync across devices.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

• Please email us at support@chalicehealthfoundation.org with a description of the issue, what you were doing when it happened, and your device model and operating system version. Screenshots are always helpful. We take every bug report seriously.
